FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT:

1. The Municipal Social Welfare & Development Office is responsible for the development plans and strategies of the social welfare programs and projects and identification of basic needs for the needy, the disadvantage and the impoverished.
2. It gives relief and appropriate crisis intervention for victims of abuse and exploitation.
3. Facilitate the implementation of welfare programs for the disabled, elderly, victims of drug addiction, the rehabilitation of prisoners and paroles, the prevention of juvenile delinquency and such other activities which would eliminate or minimize all effects of poverty.
